You can say good bye to your 9-5 jobs once you become an eBay power
seller. That's what I did 3 years ago. You can also do the same and
enjoy your time at home. Here are some tips to achieve your goal.
- Spread your listings to maximize your audience: You can
list your item under two categories to ensure a wider target audience.
Two categories can work wonders, generating lots of bids and high
realizations.
- Have a web site outside of eBay: Drive your customers
from eBay to your website by including a
leaflet, flyer or Cards with the package, thanking and inviting them to
visit your web site for other items of interest. Consider including a
voucher for a small discount for anything ordered outside of eBay.
- Use counters in your eBay listings: This is provided by
eBay for free during the listing process. Counters let you see how many
hits each listing gets, from which you can plan and make changes (lots
of visits but no bids is a sign something is wrong in your listing; few
visits and several bids normally indicates a hot product). You can
always remove the counters once testing is complete and you know your
product's a winner.
- Consider offering a free gift with your items. This helps
cut competition where other sellers are listings the similar products
as you. The gift does not have to be expensive. It could be an eBook
that you've written, discount voucher, a key ring or any other small
novelty related to your business.
- Never give up, even when it looks that
things are not going according
to plan, (it happens to all of us.) don't worry and never stop working
until you succeed.
